1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal-and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combinations on the market. It uses lidar for navigation, creating maps of rooms and floors.

When I tried the S1, it was able to identify the downstairs area, which has linoleum flooring in the kitchen-diner and bathrooms, plus carpeting of medium-pile as well as a large area rug. It easily drove close to walls without crashing into them, and was able to traverse raised room thresholds with no problem, but it sometimes struggled to get down the stairs in one step. The S1 also did a fantastic job of cleaning hard floors, with its mop driving smoothly on the flat side against the floor and then lifting itself when it reached carpet or carpet.
The docking station on the S1 automatically emptys its trash bin and replenishes its water tank on board with clean, ozonated water before each mopping session. The dock also includes a cleaning solution in the water for deep cleaning. The S1 water tank is able to hold up to 12 cleaning sessions, but this will vary dependent on how often you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots the S1 requires periodic maintenance to keep it working efficiently. You'll need to wash out the tank that has been contaminated to prevent it from becoming clogged. You'll also need to clean the swivel wheel and sensors frequently to avoid them from getting clogged by dirt or dust. Overall, the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-one robotic mop and vacuum from Ecovacs is a powerful option to meet your cleaning requirements. The Ecovacs robot vacuum has 8,700Pa of suction, and comes with numerous innovative features, such as full home mapping, voice control and smart path-planning that eliminates obstructions and cleans furniture. Its mopping capability is impressive. Rotating mop heads actually lift the floor and scrub it instead of simply dragging a pad across the surface. The mops can be dried and cleaned at the base station, if needed.
This robot combination is simple to set up and use, and has a clear interface that walks you through the procedure. It comes with a rechargeable hand vacuum to reach those areas the robot isn't able to reach as well as two water tanks that are automatically emptied and replenished whenever needed. It comes with a range of useful settings to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a great vacuum cleaner. It has a strong suction that can easily pick up dust and debris that other robots have difficulty with. Its navigation capabilities are pretty good, too, even though it is sometimes hung up on the tiny area mats or rugs that I have in my home (which is something you can reduce by creating a virtual border within the application). The mopping capabilities are quite impressive, and comes with two spinning mops that actually lift and scrub the floors instead of just dragging the pad over it. The mops are cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station as required. The mops are also replenished at the top of the station when needed.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame launched the luxurious X30 Ultra earlier this year, but their new flagship robot vacuum and mop has even more impressive features. It boasts fantastic cleaning results and hands-free maintenance making it a top contender on our top mop and robot vacuum list. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition, and an extended side brush ensure a thorough, custom-designed clean.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, removing fine and large debris from hard floors as well as carpets. It also cleaned the dirtiest areas well, keeping pet hairs from getting caught in knots and other messes. The sweeping capability of the machine is boosted by a sidebrush that automatically swings out in order to get into areas that are difficult to reach and a mop pad that extends along baseboards.
Its navigation is smart that can navigate tight spaces and climbing stairs without skipping a beat. It can easily move from one room to another without changing direction which is a great feature for homes with many rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is less advanced than its competitors, however, and tends to leave a wide distance around obstacles, which could result in missed spots.
The app's interface is intuitive and well-organized. It should be simple to use for both novices and experienced users. The app allows you to schedule and manage cleanings, adjust mopping and suction power settings, view 2D and 3D maps, and much more. You can control it via the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. You can also remotely control the X40 Ultra camera for real-time monitoring. However, you will need a stable Wi-Fi connection in order to operate it through the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 pro
A robot vacuum can do a fantastic job of picking up debris and dirt, but it can't always get every last bit of dust. It's essential to clean your home regularly, once a week. This is especially true for dust that accumulates in corners, on shelves, and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot that vacuums as well as mops, is designed to do just that. It's easy to connect to your home WiFI network and also works with Alexa or Apple Siri.
The Q5 is an edgier version of the company's more expensive S-series models. It includes the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It uses the same LIDAR mapping sensors, however it's cheaper since it doesn't have mopping capabilities and comes with an aluminum body.
The Q5 remains one of the most powerful vacuums and mopping machines we've seen in this price range, even though it's not equipped to clean your floor. It has a powerful suction of 5500Pa, and an automatic empty system so you don't need to empty the bin manually every time. It comes with a smart app which allows you to schedule cleaning times and choose the floor type. It also has an automatic water tank filling system and washing system that is hands-free.
The mops are also quite impressive with 2700Pa of power to take on dirt, dust and pet hair on both carpets and hard floors. The Q5 was one of the few robots that we tested that did not have problems with high-pile carpets and rugs. However, it could not remove kitty-poop or cable tangles. This isn't surprising because it doesn't include AI-powered obstacle-avoidance.
